A revision rhinoplasty, is more difficult, due to the violation of the normal anatomic structures and ligaments and previous alterations from the initial surgery.  Cartilage grafting is often needed to reconstruct the aberrant anatomy and provide support for the revised rhinoplasty.  This cartilage can be harvested from either behind your ear or from rib cartilage (yours or cadaveric).
