Dr. Bastidas was recently recruited to the North Shore-LIJ Health System in April 2013. He will be spearheading the development of the Institute of Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery for Cohen Children’s Medical Center. As a full-time assistant professor he dedicates his clinical work and research to further improve the lives of his patients and treat complex deformities. Dr. Bastidas performs pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery in New York and Long Island treating abnormalities such as cleft lip and cleft palate, craniosynostosis, facial fractures, facial paralysis, hemangioma, vascular anomalies, microtia and skin lesions (tumors).
